So! Happy! Project has updated their blog with some exciting news!

Happy! Project? I love them! What's the news?

WELL. I'll show you!

"" Everyone, we have some exciting news! Happy! Project has been presented with the opportunity to release our own original Japanese Pop music! Yesterday, we met with a producer and music composer. We had the chance to visit the recording studio, had a small recording session, and even listened to several demos of possible new songs. There was even the mention of the possibility of marketing our CD in Japan!

However, we can only make this happen with your support. Happy! Project has been completely funded by the members in the past. All of the girls have put everything that they have, up until now, into the group for travel, rehearsals, equipment, and costumes, among other costs. Although this is a fantastic opportunity, the group’s funds are not able to support this on it’s own.

This is where our wonderful friends and fans come in. If you would like to help us achieve our dream of releasing our own single, we would be extremely grateful. People who donate $50 or more will receive a special thank you with their name printed on the inside cover of our CD jacket. Donations of $100 or more will receive a special thank you with their name printed on the inside cover of our CD jacket and a special gift.

Believe us when we say that this was an extremely difficult post to write. Happy! Project as group has always prided ourselves on being self-funded and not ever asking for help from others. It’s difficult for us. However, this is so extremely important to us that we felt it was time to open up to those of you out there who understand what we hope to accomplish!

Please remember that this is not a fast process. The music will take awhile to be completed, then the lyrics will be arriving from Japan, a long time spent in the recording studio, the entire mixing process, and then getting the printing and details completed. This process may take up to 6 months.

I got my bangs cut! Back in November..
and recently, I got a lot of the black out of my hair. All I could get done was highlights, though. No solid color yet. T^T

The lady who dyed my hair kept saying how cute and pretty and adorable I am. "You're so cute! Do you think you're cute? ...because you are~"
It made me happy. :3
And she said "you look just like an Asian girl!"
the funny part about that? She was Asian. ^^;;
I wonder why I look it? Everyone says it to me. I'm not at all! ^^;

Went to the mall today. Wasn't feeling too great (glucose issues), but got some things. See!

I got this key cap! It's Hello Kitty as a monster. Rawr! It's really cute!

This is what my key looks like underneath. It's dragonflies, so it's still cute with or without the cap.

I also bought my first bento box! It's Cinnamoroll~! Mocha's there too!

It's suuuuuper cute!

And has a fork and spoon too.

I can't wait to use it!

I only had time to go to Sanrio, but it's ok. I got a pretzel afterward. And we might go back tomorrow. :D

I've been kinda silent lately, huh?
There's no excuse and I won't make one up. I'm just no good at blogging.
I'm wonderful at procrastinating, though!

Opinions on rig "stacking".

My step-father has worked off-shore on oil rigs for a long time. He's currently in Brazil working two months on/off. The rig he's currently working on will soon be "stacked", or put to retirement. He's had plenty of experience to know how it works and what goes on with "stacking". Apparently, when a rig is "stacked", it's SUNKEN. In the water. In the GULF in some cases. How is this helping the issue with oil spills and the like? It's not at all. In fact, it might be helping make matters worse. Not only do the sink oily rigs, which is bad in itself, but there are other dangers. Marine life might get stuck in a doorway and die, a boat fishing in the gulf might catch the top of the rig in their net and the boat might go down while trying to come undone from it, more than likely killing the fishermen. Other dangers and issues with "stacking" are also possible.

Instead of sinking the rigs, why not take it apart and sell it for scrap metal? The money earned could buy a new rig to replace the old one, or could even be used to update the existing rigs to make them more eco-efficient and safer.
According to this article, "At least 598 workers died on the job between 2002 and 2007, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said. During that period, the number of deaths per year rose by more than 70 percent, from 72 victims in 2002 to 125 in 2006 and a preliminary count of 120 in 2007."
And that's not counting injuries. I once knew a man who had been paralyzed from the waist down from an accident on a rig. The money earned from selling scrap-metal could be used to make the rig a safer place to work without the fear (or less fear)of dying or getting severely hurt. It's all possible!

Texas? As a born-and-raised Texan, I feel like it's our responsibility to help this issue. I'm sure I'm not alone, right?

That's all I have to say for now. I'm still pretty upset about it. Anyone else feel this way?

Kamei Eri, JunJun, and LinLin are leaving Morning Musume!

I was really shocked when I heard the news. I was so heartbroken, my body wouldn't stop shaking for a while. But when I read Kamei's reason, I understood more.
As for the others, they're being let go because apparently their training as exchange students is over. It makes me so sad, but I hope they do ok. I'm still heartbroken over JunJun. She's my very favorite in current Morning Musume, so I'm really sad!!

I met them in Los Angeles last summer...sort of. During one of the autograph sessions, I was able to tell JunJun that I love her, and it made me forever happy when she responded back! She probably doesn't remember, but I'll never forget it!
I was rushed by Kamei and LinLin, so I wasn't able to speak to them, unfortunately.

I'm concerned for Kamei! I really hope she gets better! Whether she comes back or not, I just hope she becomes healthy again. She lived with it for so long, I'm glad she decided to speak up and get treated properly. I'll miss her terribly, but it's for the very best, so I'm alright. Get well, Kamei!!

LinLin! I really love this kid! She's so cute and talented and sweet and funny...how can you not like her? From the people who've met her, I've only heard great things. I hope I get the chance to one day!
I've had multiple dreams about Morning Musume over the past two years. In each that LinLin is in, she's such a sweet person and we're very close. It's sad to hear she's leaving. I'll really miss her!

There are four months left...such a short time!

There are also auditions...you can be from anywhere. I've filled out an application...should I send it? I'm not sure if I'd make it, but I kind of want to try...ok. Not kind of. Really want to...XD

All for now...I'm supposed to either be cleaning or asleep.

Galveston + Kemah!

Recently, I went with my family to Galveston Island! We went to Schlitterbahn waterpark and it was a lot of fun! I don't have any pictures from it...I'm sorry!

When we were riding to the island, we rode a ferry. We went on the very top deck and even saw dolphins in the water!! It was my first time seeing them, so I was really excited and happy! My phone was in the car, so I wasn't able to get a picture...

On the way home, we drove through Kemah instead of riding the ferry. We stopped at Kemah boardwalk for the day. It was so cool!! Lots and lots of stores, rides, restaurants...everything!

They had a really cool restaurant that had an aquarium theme.

Isn't it cool? There were so many fish! There was a really really BIG one! It's actually in this picture...do you see it?
There were also sharks, eels, and an alligator gar! The sharks were small. There's one in the picture...at the top of the aquarium! And at the bottom were zebra sharks. ...why are they zebra sharks if they have spots?
The gar stayed at the very top, in the shadows...just sitting there watching everything. It was kind of scary!

Mother and I went there while waiting for everyone else to get off the roller coaster. We went there for something to drink, but ended up ordering desserts, too!

This is mine!
It was cheesecake (forgot the name of it..) with raspberry sorbet and chocolate on the edge! The fish is a really thin and sweet cookie! It had my favorite icecream. ^^
It was super good, but I wasn't able to finish it...it was so big!
Mother's was key lime pie. The desserts were so beautiful we couldn't resit getting them!

The restaurant also had...

A stingray reef!! I got to pet them! They give you fish to feed them with. I was successful at feeding two! Two...that's it! XD
They would come up at the sides on the wall and splash around. It was so cute! I'd like to do it again one day! At first I was nervous, but I got really used to it.

We rode a speedboat...I didn't like that very much. I'm not good with boats.
We went so far out in the water. It was really scary being out there!

I also tried squid. It was pretty good.

(I'm currently working on a movie review, but in the meantime...)

Being born on a cusp always always confused me on which horoscope to follow: Pisces or Aquarius. When I was younger, I'd read two different and sometimes contrasting articles for each as individuals in tween magazines when I was younger, but recently discovered that cuspians like myself have our own horoscopes. I'm neither a Picean nor and Aquarian, but a Piscean-Aquarian. (or Aquarian-Piscean, but I like the sound of Piscean-Aquarian better)

I've begun to read more about it and a lot of it is parallel to my personality and lifestyle.

When I was younger (about 13 I'd say) I was so disappointed in how the world was filled with crime and hate and carelessness that I thought that if I spoke up against it and worked hard to begin a change, I'd be even a bit successful. However, I was terribly shy and timid and was nervous just being in a crowd. So I couldn't do anything.

Since joining Happy!Project, I've broken out of my shell and am just quiet instead of shy. But I do love being around people! And what it says about stress...I sometimes find myself with a headache if I've been alone a while. If I'm around people and having fun, I don't.

I've been having some scary dreams lately, but last night I had an awesome one!

it had Michishige Sayumi, Kamei Eri, and Ayaka from Hello!Project, my 9yo sister (who was 10 here), Happy!Project, and myself.

I was on a talk show as a guest along with Kamei Eri and Michishige Sayumi. The hosts were Emily, a man, and Ayaka.
Eri and Sayu were writing a letter and would throw them into the audience later on. Sayu signed hers "Seku Ushi". Eri tried writing hers in English (more like random shapes) and signed it with "Ly Kamei". They tossed them to the fans, who went wild. I was amazed for some reason, and Ayaka turned to me and said that she could get me my own show like this one that would air in America and any other countries I wanted. I accepted the offer and gave her a big hug. She said something else and included my name. I asked how she knew my real name (I used the name Kairin for the show) and she nodded towards Happy!Pro, who had just come in and were sitting at the table. I
said "ah! You chatter-mouth!" to one of them and laughed (cant remember who). By this time, I had become most comfortable talking in English. Emily, however, was talking super fast in Japanese and was having difficulty with English. I told Ayaka "she started learning it when she was 9...she's 10 now, so she shouldn't have forgotten English already!" We both laughed and I don't remember anything after that except that Happy!Pro got a tv show that aired in 7 countries (and was a hit, thanks) and Emily continued to be a guest host on shows and eventually became a permanent host on a kid idol show. Yay happy ending. XD

Sister and I went to Shreveport Boardwalk yesterday and got our hair cut. When we got home, Baby Sister says to Sister "You look like Ai!! =D". Sister is upset and Brother asks who Ai is. Sister says "Just some Japanese singer." and Baby Sister says "HER NAME IS AI TAKAHASHI~~~!!"

It's already gone?! Oh goodness the year went by fast!! and...slow. All at the same time!!
New Years is coming up!
I remember blogging about New Years last year....I was eating a turkey sandwich and counting down the minutes....

I've been out of town and state during the past week with no internet access, so I wasn't able to update then....sorry!

Oh!! My birthday is coming up soon!! Well...not soon soon, but soon! .....did that make sense? I don't think it did...
February 19th!! I'll be 17!! Wow...

Thanksgiving!

It was yesterday. I had a sore leg all day, so I felt pretty crummy. I was exhausted and cranky, so I apologize if I got on anyone's nerves. Sorry!!

No grand feast, but it was still good. =)
I made the green bean casserole. I didn't try it, though...I don't like green beans. ^-^;;

Some new things that have happened lately!

I went to Ronin Habachi with
my mom and sisters. I love
going there! The food is
the best, especially the rice~!!

I got into a wreck, too...I'm ok.
My leg got cut bad, though.

My knee and chest were bruised
for a bit, but that went away.
The cut's still here, though.

Lastly, I got a charger for
my camcorder, so I'll be able
to record and upload some new
(and better) videos. I've been
using my webcam, so it's a big
difference.
